WinterCount WOrkshop
Winter Count is a retrospective process and healing practice of recounting our year to remember pivotal points, contemplate changes, remember lessons, and relive happy times, give gratitude, and see where forgiveness is needed. It is a deeply soulful and connective Winter tradition that gives profound meaning to our lives, and helps us move forward with more potency in our lives! Typically done in the Winter, with a spouse, friends, families, whole communities and even in the work place. You can travel to South Dakota to see some of the Lakota Community Winter Counts depicted through symbols and images on brain tanned buckskin.
Monique has developed and evolved this workshop through years of doing Winter Counts with friends and family, young and old. It has been an extremely important tradition that brings deep bonding, appreciation, and soulful living to those who participate.
In this workshop, Monique will guide participants through a personal process of distilling important events and times from our year, creating a timeline and story from it, and then creating a personal map for 2024! Through a series of questions, discussion, and activities you will learn a process that will become an important New Year tradition for yourself and whomever is lucky enough to share it with you.
Join us for a cozy time by the woodstove in the Soulcraft Studio, learning a New Year's tradition that is actually extremely valuable and beautiful!
for adults!
