We are currently accepting interns for  fall 2025!

Soulcraft Bloomington Forest and Folk School’s internship program is dedicated to advancing the future of nature connection, traditional folk craft, and healing arts by engaging participants in the world of intergenerational nature, craft, and healing education and participation. We offer student interns practical experience as well as an opportunity to gain general knowledge and a broad understanding of the day-to-day operations in a busy not-for-profit school. The goals of the Soulcraft Education Internship include:
  • Nurturing appreciation, love, and awareness of the earth and all it's inhabitants for a collective healthy future through focused immersive education and skill development in nature and craft as well as through deep relationship building with  instructors, students, the natural world, and the inner self.
  • Increasing awareness of and exposure to various responsibilities and opportunities involved in non-profit education, administration and program management.
  • Developing and strengthening educational leadership skills by engaging in public outreach, facilitating small-group learning experiences and creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students of all ages.
Interns will work closely with Soulcraft staff and volunteers and assist in the following areas:
  • Office/Administrative: including student registration and support, general administrative tasks, database management, and development of Soulcraft courses.
  • PR and Marketing: including developing new media and organizational contacts, and disseminating Soulcraft Bloomington information.
  • Program Assistance: including studio equipment/tool repairs and maintenance, preparation of room for classes, and support for instructors during classes.
  • Fund Development: including assisting with special events, researching and assisting with grants, and developing new organizational contacts and partners.
  • Other special projects based on interests and organizational needs.
Ideal intern candidates are passionate about nature and craft, curious to learn, enthusiastic, and experienced working with people, and happy when pitching in on tasks large and small to help make our folk school run. Student interns must be reliable, motivated, and able to work independently. They must have reliable transportation, be able to work on and off site, and have flexibility of schedule. All interested candidates should send a resume with references and a cover letter to [email protected] for more information.
