Community Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been around for over 2,500 years, and is traditionally always done in a group setting! You can choose to lay down or sit comfortably to receive an effective and quick treatment for your personal health concerns. Community acupuncture lowers the barrier to trying this extremely effective healing modality. People often lightly fall asleep or experience peace and warmth. Only easily accessible areas of the body -hands, feet, arms, etc. will be used -these areas are quite effective for treating all complaints - whether it’s hand pain, back pain, digestive, women’s health, stress/anxiety, immune system issues and more. Each personal session is about 20 minutes. Join acupuncturist Victoria Branson this year for a health boost!

Beginner Spoon carving
The spoon, a simple, familiar object with concave and convex surfaces, provides a perfect introductory project to learn basic woodcarving -knife and hatchet work. At it’s simplest a spoon is a straight stick with a shallow bowl at one end, however can be so elaborate that it provides a challenge to even the most experienced carvers.
Spoon carving is an excellent vehicle for learning about wood, especially grain orientation; safe, controlled, and efficient carving techniques; ax work; and tool sharpening. We will cover everything from tool choices to selecting and preparing wood to finishing completed projects so they can be used and enjoyed for many years. Please note this course is open to all levels, but requires a basic amount of hand strength, stamina, and focus to be able to complete projects listed. Being able to open a sealed jar is an example of basic hand strength. Come learn this addictive hobby that is sweeping the nation, causing folks to create Spoon Carving gatherings across the country! Look for another class this Late Spring/early summer! 9am-3pm each day Cost: $150, includes instruction, all materials and tools *if you've attended the workshop before you can come for 1/2 price! Cranky Classfor adults!
This is not a class about being cranky, or crabbie, or anything of the sort! A Cranky is a type of light show- a story on a scroll told through images or puppets or music, seen through a viewing window. Similar "moving picture" types of storytelling have been around for centuries, all around the world. The world of the Cranky is still being expanded today, with Cranky Festivals popping up across the world and new ideas being used all the time. |
In this class we will decide on a story together and all come together to create a Cranky show with it. There are lots of different parts and pieces to the making of a Cranky Show, from drawing, coloring, creating shadow puppets, music, narrating, actually cranking the scroll, and so much more. There is a place in this class for anyone who wants to be a part of the creation of Soulcraft's now annual Winter Cranky Show-there are lots of 'on stage/in front of the audience' positions, and plenty of 'behind the scenes' positions too! The fun comes in creating a beautiful Storytelling Night together. At the end of the 4 weeks, we will get to show our Cranky! If you have any questions, please ask!
